Looking for a great venue for your next event? Our awesome friends over at Hire Space could help! They’ve gained a great reputation in the event industry for helping #EventProfs to search for and find their perfect venue, whether it’s for private dining, conferences, summer parties, meetings or bespoke events. Pretty handy!
In 2017, the folks at Hire Space got in touch to find out more about using an RFID name badge package for EventLAB – their legendary autumn event where #EventProfs can network, research and develop their skills whilst learning more about new developments in the world of events.
“Tech is such a big part of the Hire Space brand,” says Felicity Cator, Head of EventLAB. “It made complete sense to see what was technologically available in the events space and to create an environment that our audience could really interact with.”
Felicity also saw the opportunity to streamline the delegate experience and offer her visitors something that made their lives easier. “There’s no denying that our industry is quite time-poor, so we’re huge fans of anything that simplifies processes for everyone involved!”
And what did the delegates make of their RFID name badges?
“We had so much great feedback about Noodle Live’s RFID badges last year. Using event tech helped delegates to navigate the event and find the information they needed quickly and easily.”
We asked Felicity to tell us about her favourite feature of the RFID name badges. “Sponsors and exhibitors were able to quickly and efficiently make e-connections, without having to take physical business cards. With GDPR in place I can see this continuing to be a great tool for maintaining consensual contacts.”
But the improvement of the delegate experience wasn’t the only benefit for Felicity and her team. “Tech is so valuable for better understanding your audience so that you can adjust, enhance and personalise their experience.” Using RFID name badges, Hire Space gathered loads of really useful data about the success of the overall event. “We were able to analyse the data to help determine things like which features were more popular than others, visitor patterns and the effectiveness of networking opportunities for sponsors and exhibitors.“
This has allowed the team to refine and improve the event, ready for the 2018 instalment. “In 2018, we’ve made some great improvements to the event experience, and following on from last year’s success, we’ve also decided to look at other ways to use tech to improve the delegate experience.”
EventLAB will be back October 23-24 at London’s Barbican. You can pre-register for the event on the EventLAB website.
